How to do it
- Sit near the front of a sturdy chair (no wheels). Hold the sides of the seat with both hands.
- Lean back a little, keeping your back straight.
- Tighten your stomach and lift both knees up towards your chest.
- Lower your feet slowly, lightly touching the floor or stopping just above it.
Breathing: Breathe out as you lift your knees, breathe in as you lower them.
How much to start with: 2–3 sets × 8–12 reps
❌ Common mistakes
- Rounding your back and hunching forward.
- Swinging your legs up with a jerk.
⚠️ Safety
- Keep the chair against a wall so it can't slide back.
